Other than being the handsome gentleman in this picture, he is a classically trained Chef with a keen focus on accentuating healthy eating by any means necessary. Over the past 11 years, Eating Well with Chef Cordell (EWCC) has developed and facilitated culinary programs for companies, schools, and individuals across the country. He targets improving the health of consumers through education, access to healthy and fresh foods, & community service. And maaaaaan can he COOK!
Simply put, too many people are suffering from preventable, food-related illnesses; we aim to markedly decrease that population. Period. Hit devastatingly hard by this are residents of food deserts, who's rates of type-2 diabetes, obesity and hypertension are ever-increasing and disproportionate to non-food desert residents. Our nonprofit, The Urban Kitchen Table, seeks to create a food oasis in as many food deserts across the country as possible. Through our passion and unique approach to providing education about, and access to, healthy foods, we boldly venture to create economic opportunity, foster community, and LIVE!
